Recyclability and recyclability
The recyclability of Custom Packaging Wholesale and
the avoidance of leaking packaging into the environment have become the most
important sustainability requirements for packaging. In addition, they
determine the types of packaging that will be employed in the future. The
definitions of recyclability developed by important stakeholders and
influencers move from "Sm Custom Packaging" to "recycling proven
in practice and on a large scale."
The discussion was dominated by improvements and redesigns
of the collection and recycling systems and the design of packaging for
recyclability. From 2021 we will implement a recyclable strategy in all
developments. This will make us more aware of how design decisions affect the
recycling value chain to make better decisions.
When a recycling value chain works well, it prevents litter,
saves resources, and reduces the impact on the climate. To ensure that our
recycling efforts are harmonized across the company, in 2021, we created
dedicated teams as part of our global sustainability function, made up of more
than 50 experts worldwide. Your task is to develop one of our greatest assets -
our practical knowledge and experience in creating value chains for recycling -
to expand the collection and recycling of packaging to countries without legal
regulations.
Partnerships to improve and expand the disposal system for packaging
Working together is the cornerstone of success. Partnership
with stakeholders is crucial for building sustainable recycling value chains.
As a result, we welcome collaborations and collaboration with a diverse group
of local and international stakeholders. Together with our customers, we
investigate how the disposal system for packaging can be expanded by reducing
transformation costs and increasing the value of recycled raw materials from
our cardboard packaging.

Our packaging
We use high-quality raw materials to manufacture our
packaging and fulfill our mission to make food safe and available everywhere.
After our packaging has served its purpose, these raw materials should not go
unused. Instead, they can be collected and - using relatively simple procedures
- recycled into something useful.
On average, over 70 percent of our Custom Packaging USA material
consists of long, strong cellulose fibers that can be recycled several times.
In addition, the thin layer of polymers - or plastics - in our beverage cartons
can be mixed with other polymers and made into new products like roof tiles, boxes,
boxes, and more.
As we continue to drive collection and fiber recycling, we
also focus more on recycling the polymers in our packaging. As part of our
commitment to support the EU's plastics strategy, we will work with partners to
ensure that recycling solutions are in place for all of the components in our
beverage cartons by 2021.
Recycling helps to create a low carbon circular economy by
preserving important raw materials. It also helps in preventing litter, saving
resources, and reducing the impact on the climate.
